I keep getting redirected to the main page (can't access videos)
There may be a problem with the way your website browser is saving “cookies”. Safari and FireFox web browser users have occasionally encountered this problem. Try deleting your cookies and browser history, close then reopen the browser, then log in again. This should solve your problem.
What equipment do I need to complete my online training?
Hopefully, because you are reading this you already have everything you need. However, if you intend to complete your training on another device you will require an internet browser, internet connection and speakers/headphones.
Most of the online training is provided using video lectures, therefore audio equipment is a must.
How do I navigate between topics?
All of our course content is divided into lessons (i.e. “Operational Planning” and “Human Performance”), which is further divided into topics. The easiest way to navigate is to use the “Course Navigation” list on the right side of your screen. Click on the lesson, then topic, you wish to view.
The course progress bar will advise how much of the course you have completed.
How do I view the next topic?
After the briefing videos, you will notice a “Mark Complete” button. Once you’ve viewed the video or read the required material, click this button to progress to the next topic.
Please note, there is a timer to stop course participants from skipping to the next topic without completing the current topic properly.
How much data is each video download?
Most of the videos are between 200 to 500 MB if viewed in 720p. However, some of the pre-flight videos are provided in 1080 HD and may result in higher download values. If download amounts are a concern (i.e. you’re using a mobile device), we recommend changing the download quality. In the bottom right hand corner of each video is a “HD” icon. Click this, and select a lower download quality value i.e. 480p.
I can't proceed to the next topic - what's wrong?
It is likely you have finished viewing the video before the topic timer is up. Each topic has a timer to stop people from progressing too quickly through the course without actually completing the full briefing.
We have set the timer so it is always less than the length of the video, therefore it should never be a problem. However, if a technical problem, such as your computer resetting, means you have had to start the video again, the timer may slow you down (it resets each time you view the topic).
We also receive reports about how long each student has viewed a topic. We will be aware if you have not viewed an entire briefing and may not be able to complete your RPAS training.
I can't access any lesson content anymore
The first step is to check you are logged in. If you are logged in correctly, but each lesson does not open up further topics, there may be a problem with the way your website browser is saving “cookies”. Safari and FireFox web browser users have occasionally encountered this problem. Try deleting your cookies and browser history, close then reopen the browser, then log in again. Where are the practice exams?
Click on the lesson for which you’d like to complete the practice quiz. Scroll down the page and you will find the link to the practice quiz.
I've completed the exam, but my lesson is still showing as "incomplete"
One of two things has happened. If you didn’t achieve at least 80% in the practice exam, please try again. It is a requirement that you pass the practice exam to complete your online theory.
If you have definitely passed, please check all of the topics in that lesson have been marked as complete. If you are still having problems please contact us.
Your videos are not working
We host our videos on Vimeo using a private, business account. Therefore, we are assured of a high standard of reliability. Vimeo also can work on most devices and web browsers.
If a video isn’t downloading, please take a break and try again soon (there is most likely a problem at Vimeo’s end). If it is still not working please contact us immediately. The last thing we want is you to have problems accessing your online training.
